Canadian conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin is to succeed Valery Gergiev as music director of the Rotterdam Philharmonic, effective Sept. 2008. Nézet-Séguin, 31, is the current artistic director and principal conductor of the Orchestre Metropolitan in Montreal.
