Readers Compensated For Frey’s Fraud

A judge has approved a settlement for readers who said they were defrauded by James Frey because the author’s “memoir” wasn’t truthful. “Although the book was a huge hit that exploded in sales after Oprah Winfrey chose it for her book club, only 1,729 readers came forward to benefit from the settlement.”
