Oscars’ Problem With Historical Dramas

“I don’t mean to sound cynical, but when I look at the films nominated for Best Picture, I can’t help but feel disappointed that such a glittery, bloated event, which costs roughly $38 million to produce, doesn’t have more substance to justify its self-congratulatory pride.”

Federal Court Orders YouTube To Take Down ‘Innocence of Muslims’

It was the video that launched a thousand riots (and, just maybe, in part, the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi). Why Movie Theatre Food Is So Bad

“Snacks are a cash cow for theaters, providing some 85 percent in net profits. But no one really goes after the food Americans eat in movie theaters, which is mostly bits of corn syrup, food starch, malic acid, and artificial colors, encapsulated in a sugary ether.”
