Actor Sarah Scott says another actor, Kip Pardue, first put her hand on his penis during filming, and then “called her into his dressing room, where he proceeded to masturbate in front of her. ‘I literally froze,’ Scott, 35, recalls. ‘I said, ‘What are you doing?’'” Then it got even worse: “‘This isn’t a #MeToo thing,’ she alleges he responded. ‘I’m not your employer. It’s not like I can fire you.'”

You Think ‘The Good Place’ Is About Heaven And Hell, But It’s About The Internet
And that’s both ends of the divine, of course. “The ground beneath the characters’ feet is constantly shifting, just as the show’s very concept shifts with every season — and, to some extent, nearly every episode, a tactic that mimics the immeasurable expanse of online space.”
A New National TV Show May Change New York’s Comedy Cellar
The club is trying to remake its image after the Louis CK fiasco. But other things may change as well. “Cameras certainly shift the atmosphere in the room, but they also encourage comics to do more newsy material to get on the air. The producers are adamant that they do not tell comics what to say, and while there is some room for evergreen jokes, the focus here is on what is happening now.”
Jamie Lee Curtis Says The Success Of ‘Halloween’ Is A Victory For Women
She doesn’t just mean her demographic – women over 55, women leading a horror film – for whom she has utterly smashed movie records in the past few weeks. She means everyone. “This level of PTSD is not unique to Laurie Strode. It’s universal to every woman alive because women have been oppressed since the beginning of time. Bigger than that, people have felt the boot of sexual, criminal, political, emotional and environmental violence.”
The Short-Sightedness Of Killing FilmStruck And DramaFever
Sure, WarnerMedia claims that FilmStruck, DramaFever (a Korean drama service), and Super Deluxe is just a way to shutter anything that doesn’t get enough data for the new behemoth that is the combined AT&T and Warner. But that was, honestly, not very smart. “If WarnerMedia had eventually rolled FilmStruck into its bigger service, it would have been an enticing add-on for movie lovers, who are largely underserved by the big streaming services.”
Did You Know You Could Stream Movies From The Library Of Congress?
The Library of Congress isn’t Netflix: You won’t be able to watch current Hollywood blockbusters and every season of your favorite TV show. You will, however, find historical films and newsreels ranging from Depression-era documentaries to home videos to educational series about mental health.
Indie Film-Streaming Service FilmStruck To Be Shut Down
FilmStruck is best known as the exclusive streaming home for The Criterion Collection, which was previously available to stream on Hulu. In addition to streaming films, FilmStruck also produced original content featuring director’s commentary and series such as film historian David Bordwell’s “Observations on Film Art.” When the service launched two years ago, it was touted as containing “the largest streaming library of contemporary and classic arthouse, indie, foreign and cult films.”
Film Studio In Metro Atlanta Builds Itself An Entire Small City
“50 families have become the first permanent residents of Pinewood Forest, a strange hybrid of artist’s commune, luxury suburb and company town, built directly across the street from Pinewood [Atlanta] Studios, … the largest purpose-built studio outside Hollywood. … A few dozen homes are complete, but within 10 years the plan calls for 1,300 residences, along with a movie theater, a fitness center, pocket parks – and an entire town center. And the main local employer will be right across the street.”
The New Big Thing On Israeli TV These Days? Ultra-Orthodox Jews
“The hottest TV shows in Israel right now are not about sex, drugs or violence. Instead, they are about the insular Haredim, or ultra-Orthodox Jewish communities, whose everyday dramas — albeit fictionalized — are Israeli TV’s latest obsession.”
Study: More Than Twice As Many Students Are Paying Attention To Political News Than In 2014
Students felt, even in their short lives, news had changed. Part of it’s the Trump effect, but I think it’s really that the Parkland generation is paying attention. They have an issue. I can’t tell you how many times school shootings came up. It’s definitely on their minds. They’re going to hear about it on their phones. The 24-hour news cycle has spun out of control to this hyper-velocity model that’s coming at them. The technology feeds them these stories in a way that news always has urgency. So much of news is treated like breaking news, whether it is or not. Kate Spade, she made nice purses, and her suicide is a tragedy. But is it breaking news? It’s confusing to students.
